A great crew
Redcliff, or the 'Cliff' as locals call it, is a fine dining experience in the heart of Fiordland, New Zealand's gateway to Milford and Doubtful Sounds. Adjacent to Lake Te Anau with stunning mountain views, the Redcliff prides itself in their locally grown and reared produce they have on offer.
Your hosts Megan and Kurt along with their crew aim to provide fresh, seasonal, top quality produce alongside an extensive list of great local wines. Check out our current menu and wine lists. They believe its not just about the food and wine, its about the whole experience. Redcliff has received the Beef & Lamb Hallmark award of Excellence since 2005, along with many other awards.
A true testament to the quality of the dining experience lies in the fact that the cast and crew of the "Lord of The Rings Trilogy" dined here numerous times while filming in majestic Fiordland. But whether you're Peter Jackson or a couple on holiday, the Redcliff's menu of wild game, great seafood options or outstanding vegetarian options is sure to hit the right note.
Not only will the Cliff provide you with an outstanding meal, it also offers a relaxed, cozy bar with great atmosphere. No TV's or pokie machines in this bar!!! You can enjoy the large outdoor area out the front with an antipasto platter or the garden bar out the back with a game of pre or post meal petanque. Redcliff has regular scheduled New Zealand and overseas musicians playing after dinning hours. Check out our up and coming live entertainment in the Redcliff Gig Guide. So whether its a fine wine & a few nibbles you're after or the full Redcliff dining experience, you'll come away happy & wanting to re-visit.
Our restaurant tends to get busy, especially during the summer season so we recommend you book ahead. We also cater for large groups & have Gourmet BBQ sample menus available. Visit our reservation page for more info.
